Engineering in Disaster ReliefDate: 23 September Speaker:Cheryl McDonald and Anne Durrant, RedR RedR is an international federation of organisations who relieve suffering caused by disasters by providing on-site personnel especially engineers. Cheryl McDonald is a Public Health Engineer, with extensive overseas experience in water, sanitation and hygiene engineering in Indonesia post tsunami, including working with local teams and quality control procedures, and challenging working conditions. Cheryl currently works in RedR´s Clusters team as Projects Coordinator. Anne Durrant, Fundraising and Communications Director, will introduce the work of RedR and how engineers can get involved in their work. This event is free of charge. Booking is essential.
